Payment

All fees are due at the time of the visit. Forms of accepted payments: Cash, Credit Cards, Zelle, Venmo, and HSA/FSA cards.


INSURANCE

Katy Barnhill, LAc is an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, The Empire Plan/NYSHIP, and Humana. Keep in mind: coverage can vary widely from policy-to-policy. Regardless of network status, not every plan includes an acupuncture benefit, and deductibles may need to be met before insurance will initiate payments for your treatments.

When using out-of-network benefits, payment is required at the time of service. We will then submit the insurance claim on your behalf. You can expect reimbursement from the insurance carrier within 2 weeks of treatment.

To verify coverage, e-mail a picture of the front and back of your insurance card and send it to info@acupuncturetothepeople.com.

We will happily check your acupuncture benefits and get back to you within a business day. Once verified, we will email you with a brief breakdown of your benefits.

Please include the patient's name and date of birth.  If the patient is not the subscriber, please also include the subscriber’s name and date of birth.


CANCELLATIONS & MISSED APPOINTMENTS

We kindly ask that you provide 24 hours notice of cancellation. If you miss your appointment/late cancel, we reserve the right to charge a no-show/late cancel fee.
